Hey all I plan to come back to the Baltimore after years of being away on the west,..
Anyways,
Apparently Baltimore has a new system.
How is it working???
Its digital right??
All of it,??? or is it mixed ???,with some ID's Digital .and others Analog????
Arre they all encrypted?? Open??
ANY info would be appreciated and hence NOT shunnned

The Baltimore City TRS was one of the first P25 systems in the country. Most comms are in the clear, and most, if not all are P25 digital. I am not impressed with the audio quality. It varies from dispatcher to dispatcher, from very readable to almost incomprehensible. The signal strength is excellent throughout the city, so I think the audio problems are a product of misadjusted equipment, dispatcher accents and training, possibly mismatched equipment - who knows.... Anyway, newer P25 systems in Maryland seem to more readable overall.

and they though intelligable don't always sound do hot
lol

I know Baltimore was having MAJOR issues with their previous system:roll:
