Has anyone else noticed that when scanning Baltimore City police, central division, 1A ,(talk group 4816), the scanner will not scan past this talk group when communication's have ended? It's as though the radio has been told to hold on this channel. This has been happening for the past few weeks on my BCD396 and my PSR500. I finaly got tired of constantly pressing scan to move on and have locked out the channel. The problem is this is a fairly active talk group and now I am missing these transmissions. This is the only talk group that does this for all of Baltimore city. All other channels/talk groups begin to scan when the transmissions have ended. I have played around with hold and delay times and have also tried various "end code" settings but nothing seems to work.
Is there a setting on either radio that I could tweak to enable me to monitor this talk group and have the radio move on when communications have ended?
Thanks

I've noticed the Southern and SW district talkaround channels sometimes has this problem. Unfortunately I think these are cases where these dispatchers really don't know how to use a trunk system properly.

However, sometimes this procedure helps (anything in blue or underlined is a link). You must have the version 2 firmware to make this work - although the rumor mill says that this option will no longer be 'hidden' when the new firmware comes out (hopefully) at the end of the month...it should be noted that sometimes, this doesn't work either....

Yeah, I kind of assumed it was an issue on their end because it affects both of my radios.
I think I've tried the digital end code detection tweak. I'll have to take a look at where I've got it set at.
Thanks for the reply Mike.
