Baltimore City Talkgroup 5744

Anyone know who's on talkgroup 5744? I heard a few transmissions on it on Saturday. They may have mentioned an "Office of Research."

This talkgroup was mentioned as being active last year during the APCO Convention, although it may not have been used by the Convention. See this thread:

They may have been using it for the fire expo. I notcied some of the vendors using xts 5000 radios when I went down to check out the exhibit hall.

If anyone is familiar with baltimore city trunked frequencies, I could use some help. I'm new to programing my Radio Shack PRO-528 scanner, and I've used RR database to plug in trunked frequencies into a few banks for Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Carrol County, and Towson University. I pick up the baltimore county talk groups just fine, however the baltimore city talk groups that I pick up are loud and staticy; without any comprehendable audio feeds. I have the city frequencies in their own bank, set on trunk system Motorola Type II 800 MHz, in numerica order, and with the data option turned off. If anyone knows why I'm having trouble picking up city frequencies, please reply. Thank you.

The 528 cannot handle the Baltimore city system - it's digital. You will need a digital trunktracker to decipher them. They are all laid out here - note that anything in blue or underlined is a link
