Baltimore County possibly went P25 II? Edit: Nope, control channel rollover

Just noticed today that my older scanners that can handle P25 Type I are no longer picking up Baltimore County's system

My 396xt is dead, as is my Pro-197. However, my 436hp is picking it up fine.

Does anyone know if there was a major change? The only thing I could guess was that they converted to Type II which would explain the 436hp now being the only one that works due to the P25 II capabilities.

I don't think so. I'd make sure all control channels are programmed in the dead radios. Sentinel tends to load all system freqs into the radio, thus the 436 would not be affected by a control channel roll.

Great point. I did just realize that my 396 flashed the searching for CC message. I'll give that a try, appreciate the response.

Edit: That fixed it! First time I've had to do this in 5 years. Leaving this up in case anyone else runs into this.

Baltimore County is presently using 854.0375 which is one of the alternate control channel frequencies. The regular control channel frequency has always been 856.2125. I didn't notice the change since I have all of the alternates programmed.
