We received a report that the 858.2125 freq in the Baltimore County system was causing problems with tracking the system when it is programmed into a scanner. I suspect this is a scanner-specific issue but can anyone confirm if 858.2125 is in use as part of the trunk? Thanks.

BaltCo TRS transmissions on this freq as of 1428 EST. However, when this freq is listened to in a conventional mode, there is heavy intermod on it from my location. I don't have any problem when it is monitored as part of the TRS.

Thanks; that makes sense. The intermod must be confusing scanners that do not use control channel-only tracking.

No probs for me on this freq on any of my GRE or Uniden scanners....even in conventional monitoring.

Clarification

I encouraged keeping this in the database when I posted this info, just asterick the frequency and provide a notation that some scanners perhaps will be best not having this programmed in. The particular scanners in question are 235 and 245xlt's. This happens at my home 20 and nearly everywhere when mobile; all is perfect without the freq loaded. I have a feeling some of the other users that thought they were loosing the control channel actually just need to remove this frequency from their B. Co bank.
Thanx
