Yep it was ah Hummin and Buzzin here in the So Cal Mojave desert, multiable Eastern stations all coming in at the same time. Reminded me of the old skip days.
We have some of the locals, well approx 20 miles away that are old, crotchy, mean, and ugly guys who hang out on CH 40 LSB to give each other Low Band Ham frequencies and conditions for DXing and talking to interesting stations world wide. They use the CB CH40 LSB so as not to let any others hear the "Hot Info" on 2 meters or any other Ham Band from listening in. I have had monthly breakfast with these guys who are all retired broadcast engineers, they are great to talk to and I enjoy there conversation / arguments no matter how acidic, cruel, or rude they get, its a pleasure to be there and hear all the hoo raw. They have been warned to keep it down a few times in the coffee shop, from the their heated debates. They had a hard time talking to each other and one threatened to get a CB Linear!
