I am new to this scanning thing but I have the pro-2052 and the guy at radio shack gave me a list of frequencies but all that's on the list are just frequencies (no banks, no channels) so i figured i buy that police call frequency guide and that didnt give me anything. Now i have a scanner that i cant program

So my question is how do i find out what bank and channel go with each frequency

I appreciate the help!!!!!!

You decide what bank and what channel you want to put them in.

I'm sure everyone has their own 'favorite' way to program their scanners and divide the frequencies into each of the banks, but really, it's up to you.

As an example, I use each bank for a seperate county or radio service. Below is how I have one of my scanner's programmed:

Bank 0 = All county frequencies
Bank 1 = all Cuyahoga fire and EMS freqs
Bank 2 = all Cuyahoga East police
Bank 4 = all Cuyahoga West police
Bank 5 = Lake county TRS
Bank 6 = Parma TRS
Bank 7 = SWRCN TRS
Bank 8 = Cleveland Hopkins Airport
Bank 9 = Ohio MARCS system - multiple counties

You can seperate them out however you want to to make it easiest to listen to whatever you are in the mood for at the time.

Good luck -

Mike
