Hello all. This is my first post here. Hopefully, this is the right spot for it.
I just got my DM-32uv in the mail. It's a pretty neat radio. The Baofeng CPS is something special... and requires a soft and patient touch. I'm used to more polished Motorola and Kenwood CPS. I have searched the CPS, manual, and the internet, both high and low, and haven't found anything on the issue I'm having.
Does anyone know if I can edit the layout of the display? I've figured out how to change the colour of a few things, not what I'm looking for. My biggest issue is that in channel mode (single mode), the selected channel displays the programmed frequency in a significantly larger font than the channel name. I couldn't care less about what the channel frequency is. I would prefer to eliminate the frequency from the display completely and only see the channel name. I know this isn't a professional radio, but I'm mostly using it for scanning right now. It's annoying having to squint to see what channel I'm receiving. It's almost impossible to see the channel name outside with any sunlight, but I can see that frequency clear as day.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks folks
