Baofeng has redesigned the PTT buttons on the UV-82 and for good reason.
I purchased 80+ of these UV-82C (commercial part 90 approved) and the PTT button was a rocker that would tilt back and forth to activate the 'A' or the 'B' transmit button.
I've already had 4 of these come back with sticking or broken PTT.
The problem is the plastic parts on case, not the micro-switches on the radio circuit board.
If you buy the redesigned version, instead of a single rocker there are 2 separate PTT buttons.
If you are buying them on eBay, make sure you get the new design.
Hopefully Baofeng Tech will retrofit the ones I have. I large investment to lose over a poor case design.
