who is dispatching barnegat and StanfordPd/FD/EMS and the LBI AREA . Did they switch over to the new system are they still on the old system do they use the VHF it’s a little bit confusing reading all the threads. Coming down for a visit and would just like to monitor but not sure what to listen to

I don't know who dispatches Barnegat PD, fire and EMS are by the county, I believe. Stafford Fire and EMS are also by the county, although I've head EMS call over to "Stafford", so someone should confirm that. LBI PD is done by Long Beach Township some are DMRE others (Beach Haven) are conventional. Fire and EMS are done via the County. LBI Fire and Squad 12 are on TRS Zone 2, Squad 14 and 49 are on conventional.

Stafford Township Police took over dispatching for Barnegat awhile back,Squad 38 recently switched over to 700 MHz and are still dispatched on VHF by Stafford then communicate with them on EMS 2.
