Not sure if anyone saw yesterday, But the 104th Fighter Wing will be getting the new F35A Lightning 2s 5th Generation Stealth Fighters. When the new jets come in will we still be able to monitor the training? Will there be all new frequencies or should everything remain the same communications wise?

Just getting New Jets to replace the F-15s. Cant see why the Bases Tower or Fighter Wing Air Ops would change frequencies.
When the F-15s were with the 102nd at Otis on the Cape they didnt change a thing when they replaced the
F-106 Jets in the late 80s before that they flew F-100s in the 70s. The Goast guard at Otis switched from the Hu-25 Falcon to the
Turbo Prop Guardian a few years back and Didnt change Operations frequencies.

A bit premature as they will not arrive until 2026.
The mission would dictate the frequencies more than the aircraft they were using to fly the same mission.

Would they still keep the Alert missions?

They are getting the state of the art fighters so I would doubt they are going to be some kind of backup unit.
