For the Past month or so Barnstable Police have been operating on TG 38096 on zone 4 of MSP 800. I've heard rumors in the past that Barnstable Police would eventually switch over to the Msp system permanently over the conventional 855.2125. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I haven't heard a peep in close to a month on the Conventional.

You need 855.5375 as the Control Channel. 854.3625, 859.2125, 859.2375 are the Alternate control channels. This is Cape Cod Zone 4 on the MSP 800 Radio system. You need to set it up as a Motorola trunk system then add TG 38096 for Barnstable Police.

At the present time, there is an issue with one of the T1 circuits running out to the transmitter. There is a Verizon order to install a new T1. In the mean time they have been using the 800 trunk system.

I lived on Cape Cod in the early 70's and everything was on VHF high band and 33.70Mhz was Barnstable County Fire. They started trunking 10 years ago. Sandwich Police was 155.520Mhz and Barnstable County Sheriff was KCA-376. On skip, I could receive them down in New Rochelle, NY in 1977.
Have a nice Sunday.

Hi jefkett,
I used to live in East Sandwich, MA from 1971-1973 and attended Riverview School on Rt.9A and I'm sure that area has grown BIG time. I had a Bearcat lll in the dorm. LOL
Have a good Sunday.

Trunking for the Cape local agencies goes back further than 10 years. Some of the FDs are still simulcasting on low band, but most everything is on either the MSP system or in the case of PDs, conventional 800 Mhz. The Vineyard is still VHF except for the Staties assigned out there.
