Thornapple fire uses the old VHF which I have not been able to get yet. I have not heard anyone on fireground.
Hastings City now uses the MPSCS system for their fire.

I am new to this and I just got a bct 8 for christmas, I live in Nashville, mi I have programed several freq. into my scanner that ive found on the srch mode and getting alot of fire and ems but I dont know how to get into trunking yet just woundering if you guys have any suggestions for me

Barry Co fire

Barry County Fire is 154.235 (symplex) PL 114.8 Dont know what Nashvilles Bambulance operates on, Hastings goes to some fire ground channel when they arrive on scene ( like BC is so busy and needs the channel open . All police are on MPSCS, Some FD's have a couple of MPSCS portables for interoperation, but thats it. Hope this helps. SIGNAL 6

sier - your radio will not get teh Hastings fireground channel nor any police.

Nashville PD which is dispacthed by Barry Central is on the MPSCS system so yes you will need a digitial APCO 25 scanner.
There units numbers are 501(Cheif), 511(sgt) and 520 to 529.
