Does anybody that monitors Shelby County TN have any ideas on how to monitor Bartlett EMS to hospital ER patient reports? I can hear Memphis Fire EMS reports to various hospitals because the Fire Dept and the hospitals are on the same trunked system. But Bartlett is on a separate system and I cannot figure out how they communicate with the various hospital ER's. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not specifically familiar, but always check 155.340 as a backup. Then again, they could be using something as simple as a cell phone.

I would think they would encrypt these at some point due to PHI.

Bartlett uses the med 10 channels along with cell phones. Monitor 462.950 they will call medcom for a channel assignment. You will need to program both the 463.xxx channel and the 468.xxx channels to here all the traffic. Only two med channels are repeated. Med 9 and 8. The others are duplex. So the hospital traffic is on 463.xx and the units are on 468.xxx. They also have 155.205 and 155.340 capability.

Thank you for this information. And I must apologize but what do you mean by the "xxx" on the 463 and 468 frequencies?

EMS radio reports are very rarely, if ever, PHI. Providers follow a general script and I can't recall the last time I ever heard one that wasn't "The patient is a 54 year old female" or "victim is a 18 year old male".

See this post. It refers to the UHF MED channels

Those channels are reserved for EMS/MED use nationwide. Local adoption may vary, but these are almost everywhere.

Thank you for the information. I actually set up a custom scan on my SDS200 to scan between a set of frequencies and I finally did hear some traffic from Bartlett, Germantown and Collierville EMS on 462.950. I am on the right track now. Each EMS was directed to another channel assignment. I could basically hear the hospital side by not the EMS unit. I'll need to play around with it some.
