I put a mag mount on a strip of baseboard heating in my room to see what would happen. This is a radioshack scanner antenna connected to a PRO-94. The pro-94, of note, has sounded really bad with alot of hiss in the audio and really weak reception. I also connected the scanner to a RS communications speaker. The difference is night and day.
