We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Hello:

I have looked threw the forum and I did not find a answer to my question. My question is I am using a Uniden Bearcat 250D in my basement. I get “Ok” reception but I am looking to get County Hotline and just better reception over all. Since I live in the basement I am sure that has something to do with it,

I am looking for an antenna that I can mount on my roof and run it to the basement to my scanner that will do the job. I want to be able to monitor “39.46000 / 154.10000 / 154.04000 857.26250” range. Can someone tell me what antenna would do the job? Also where I might be able to buy it online.

Thanks in Advance

What state are you in to be listening to 39.46? :)

That used to be the low band point to point freqency in my area here in Illinois.

About the antenna,The RS Discone will do just fine for you,About the 800mhz reception,That depends on how far you are located from the tower.
