Hello all, I have a question on battery recharging. My scanner stays plugged in most of the time. At one time I would just leave the charging port plugged in so it would stay fully charged. that worked for a while but then the unit would quit going into charge mode until the battery died and i powered down the unit and powered it back up. I have it set to charge while on, or whatever that setting states, basically it should be charging whether the scanner is powered on or not. Mine for some reason will not charge while it on. Has anyone else seen this with their unit? the other day I plugged into the power port and charge port and it still wouldn't go into charge mode. does anyone have the specs off of the charging adapter that came stock with these units as far as what the amp/milliamp rating?

Thanks all!

If you got the low usb voltage screen did you go back in the battery options and re-enable the charge while on function?

Yes, in the past when I've received that notification, I have had to go back in and re-enable the charge while on. I have not gotten that notification in a long time though, which makes me think the charger i'm using has plenty of amperage available to power and charge the unit at the same time.

I would double check just in case. I missed the low voltage screen one time and was going crazy until I checked and it was set to off.

Will a fast usb charger (similar to Samsung [2.1 Amp] fast phone chargers) work to charge the SDS100 internally faster that a standard 1.0 amp usb charger? SDS100 ordered, waiting.

Page 9 of the SDS100 manual states:
The included AC adapter is rated at 2A and can power or charge the SDS100.

So 2.1 fast USB charger should work fine.
