Is there anyway to charge a handheld radios battery without acutally having it being put onto the radio?

For example:
7.5V 16 Whr NiMH Two Way Radio Battery for Motorola XTS1500 manufactured by AtBatt.com

If I could get that to charge without actually having it on a unit would be amazing!!! The radios we use at work constantly die, so I want to bring my own battery so I do not have to rely on others to have a working battery.

Sorry if this is the wrong section, shopped around couldn't find anything better.

Every drop-in charger I've ever used didn't need the radio attached to function properly. Are you using the XTS1500? If so, then absolutely that can be charged without being attached.

Those side slots you see on the photo of the battery fit into the charger, whether or not the battery is on the radio.

The chargers I use just need to have the battery in it,not the radio.
