Hi all. Some of the black covering around the battery has peeled a bit. Is this going to be a problem eventually? Charges fine, holds the charge, no swelling of the battery. Thanks!

How old is it? Uniden had some defective ones.

So, if I remember my “Proper care and Feeding of a lithium-ion Battery” schooling, two years of daily charging should at least get you a satisfactory rating for usage before the battery starts to show signs of old age. In other words, I would say you got or are very close to getting your money’s worth out of that battery pack. Going forward, I’d wait

Sorry about truncated message. I was going to say wait before recharging if battery is warm and use an external charger.

I've seen the peeling, and never noticed it to the extent it would be an issue. It is only cosmetic.

That is not to say an issue might not develop some day, but I've not seen that yet.
