I found the identical battery you are needing at all-batteries on ebay.

My Uniden 235XLT battery went out and the replacements I ordered from the above seller have been going good for 2 years now.

The batteries state Ni-MH 4.8V @ 1200 mAh and "China"

I know the Sanyos are supposed to be the best and they are Japanese but I have been pleased with these. The 1200 mAh rating seems low as compared to the 2600mAh but I have been happy with the run time. Plus I always have another charged and ready to go.

Getting batteries at the local Charlotte Hamfest as of recent has been impossible with all the vendors dropping the show.

For my 235 and later 245 I bumped up to 2000+ batteries and have been very pleased with runtimes. A note of caution, because the size is 2-3 times the original battery pack it will take 2-3 times longer to charge. Said another way, plan on charging for quite a long time to get the max runtime from your hi-capacity batteries.
