I've had my PSR 500 for over a year and this is a new problem (I think).
First of all, I never use the yellow battery holder. The odd thing is that now when the scanner is plugged in the battery icon flashes. Also, it seems that when I'm not plugged in the batteries drain much faster than before. I use Winn 500 and wonder if I changed a
setting by mistake. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks in advance :)

I have no clue if this will help, just an idea.

Open Win500 and in the General Setings tab, lower left (battery settings).

Look in the file that you upload to your scanner and check it against the settings in open a "New Template" using the File Choice top left in Win500.

There were two settings in my file different from a new template, but I have always changed the battery type to NiMH and cut the charge time down to an hour. As stated though, I would NEVER charge batteries in my $500 scanner.
Thanks for the reply!
