Has anyone else had a problem with the TRX-1 draining the batteries when not in use?

If I have batteries in the radio, doesn't matter if it is alkaline or rechargeable or toggle switch set to NiCAD or ALK, and don't use the radio for a few days (3-5 days) the batteries are dead when I try to turn it on. I do not remember having this problem in the past, but can not remember for sure.

Any suggestions?

If you're using older NiMHs their internal resistance will often drain them in a short amount of time. I've had to get rid of a lot of old NiMHs because of that. Got too annoying having to recharge & then use them immediately.

Thanks, but happening with Alkaline and new set of rechargeable batteries.
