Does 'close-call only' mode use more juice than scanning (only)?
Today, I went to a facility, turned on cc only, got a hit (alert in earphone), heard a brief message.
When I got home about an hour and a half later, the unit was powered-off. The batteries (Uniden) had been charged for the first time and this was the first use. Upon restart, the unit would power-off shortly.
Is it the function or the batteries? My Duracells seem to last a long time. I am now recharging them and will evaluate their cycle time.
Also, I don't seem to be able to locate the 'found frequencies' folder. Max auto-store was enabled. I guess the batteries could have cut out before the group was created. Is it necessary to 'enable' auto-store each time one enters close-call?
Any ideas?
