Bayonne and JC Trunk Systems

Are the control channels low power? My new Pro-106 will not pick up these systems from S.I. near the Outerbridge. Also, I'm trying to learn this radio and using ARC-500 to program it. Any pointers? Thanks.

They shouldn't be. I've come down the hill on I-78 east near Rt. 24 (at almost the Maplewood exit) and received the systems just fine on my 396XT with just a rubber duck antenna.

Thanks, I just found out why I couldn't hear them. Using ARC 500 and RR the Jersey City and Bayonne systems are downloaded as Motorola VHF/UHF systems not P25!
