I would like to get a premium account so I can auto download to my scanner. I don't see it listed. Is it possible to get RRef data base info into the BC-125AT with a premium subscription ?

Yes, once you have a premium account you can use whatever programmig software you're using with the BC-125AT to download the date right from RR.

TY I was assuming I would have to also purchase ARC-125 as it claims its the only software that will allow you to download from RR.

"
ARC125 is by far the most popular programming software for the Uniden BC125AT/UBC125XLT/UBC126AT/AE125H scanners, it is also the most user friendly software available for your Uniden scanner developed by the scanner software world market leader!
ARC125 is the only software that supports importing data from the popular Radioreference.com USA "

Please no suggested software competition issues. If either I or Butel have complaints we will address them privately.

With what has been posted/quoted I have no issues:

"Most popular ...." - probably is, might not be, .... I've no idea. All I know is that for the latest release of Scan125 I have nearly 6500 users. Previous release 7786. Not all users are automatically upgrading release on release. Butel will have their own numbers so I leave it to their honesty compare their user data

"developed by the scanner software world market leader!" - certainly is as I only support two Uniden scanners

"supports importing data from the popular Radioreference.com USA" - if qualified by direct program communication with RR Database to receive data, then yes. However RR will export to file and from there it is all Go Go Go as Murray Walker would say:

I'm all for competition. Our programs are so different in so many respects so much so I know many people use both programs to extract the best from both.

Gommert is running a commercial business, supporting family and paying the bills. I'm retired and my free software is trying to generate money for the DEBRA charity which I/it is successful at. Some users donate far more than a Butel license and some do both (i.e. license and donate).

For both DEBRA and Butel we have mutual win win situations and long may it last. For all I know Gommert has used my software for competitive analysis and donated to DEBRA.

i was not trying to start a competition fight. just putting an option up there.
OK, understood, but I just wanted to make sure I'm / my position / etc. is understood.

I'm happy living alongside ARC-125.

Scan125 was written from the ground up with reference to no other scanner software when my wife bought me my UBC125XLT. Much of the interface, presentation, etc. was derived from my love of SW and my Lowe HF150 receiver and my HF150 Control Program. I had never owned a scanner before then, used scanner software, etc. so Scan125 was a new adventure. Surprisingly it turned out quite well but not perfect :) Sometimes the ugly duckling appeals to some.

Scan125 Control Program is FREE with no restrictions. All I ask is that if you like it then please consider making a donation to the DEBRA charity. I have the appropriate link on my website to do this.

Uniden software is also free but it is completely different to Scan125. Whilst both programs can program the scanner Scan125 does this in REAL-TIME. Basically, once the scanner is connected you have full control over the scanner, audio recording, ....... In addition you can obviously Save and Load Channel Data but also all other scanner settings.

You are probably best off reading the programs User Manual for more information. Scan125 Manual
