BC-245 IF Output

Does anyone know:

1. Where the IF Output/tap-point is on the BC-245?

2. What freq the IF Output is on the BC-245 (21.4 Mhz? 10.7?)

I'm working on a "special project" and need this information.

Although Uniden has been getting more customer-friendly, they still do not sell service manuals for their radios that cover 800 MHz. The Radio Shack PRO-94 is quite similar to the BC245XLT and information from its service manual lists the IF frequencies as below.

380.7 MHz
10.85 MHz
0.45 MHz

If 10.85 MHz is useful to you, it is routed through a crystal filter to pin 16 (mixer input) of the MC3361C.

You wouldn't be, by chance, trying to hook a ARD25 up to it would you? If so it won't work. Wrong I.F. :shock:

No joy on the tap point but I did find the I.F. frequencies: 254.4 MHz, 10.85 MHz and 455KHz.

Maybe someone else knows the tap points, but if they do they haven't posted it online anywhere...

No, not the AOR decoder, but along those same lines. IF frequency doesn't matter, as long as I can get to it, and it's near 10.7 MHZ, I'm cool

The Spectravue software that comes with it is very nice but the manufacturers have a good attitude towards developers as well. They even provide a free ActiveX control that means you can quickly get started writing software that uses the SDR-14. In theory any (unencrypted) digital
mode with a bandwidth up to 150 KHz could be decoded.

The pro's have had this kind of kit for a few years but its the first time something like this has been made available to the hobbyist community.
