BC 246T - Scanning Conventional and Trunking simultaneously?

Quick questions -

Does the 246T permit the scanning of conventional frequencies and trunked systems simultaneously? I can't find where this is specifically stated in any of the online documentation, and not having one to play with I can't check. I assume it does, but just want to be sure. I have a PRO 95, which was specifically marketed as being able to do both at the same time.

AND, does the 246T support firmware upgrades? More specifically, will the 246T be able to survive rebanding?

I think I might have to off-load the 95 (rebanding), and I need some info on the 246T to make a decision on a possible replacement.
