Apparently the BC-296D needs to be told the correct mode when being sent to a voice channel by computer control. When using "BC245" (the nearest equivalent) in the configuration file, my BC-296D generally goes to the parking channel in AM mode, then to each voice channel assigned in the same mode.

So, please, all you Trunker variant programmers, include the BC-296/796 control protocols in future versions. Thanks!

My 796D works fine with Etrunker - the mode is NFM and the park frequency is 850.000 MHz. The trackenv file uses the BC895 as the scanner type.

For the BC296D the tuning command is RF. It has an optional parameter to set step size but not for setting mode. Perhaps your park frequency is in a range where AM is the default.

heheheheh. Nice shot.

Anyway, my park frequency is 806.000 MHz, which should be NFM.
