BC- 296d Blank screen and back light on ??

My 296d screen is blank with the backlight stuck on ? I tried to download the Firmware update 3.25. It said to push and hold L/O Scan and 6 and turn on screen went blank? My problem is I can not get out of that blank screen mode?? I did not finish that Firmware update but I just want to get back to normal??

I don't own that scanner but you need to get the firmware uploaded to the scanner or you will have a very expensive paper weight.

Someone just had a similar problem with the Uniden BC-246T. Hope it helps.

You must finish the firmware update to get out of this state. See my comments in the other referenced thread.
