Bc 560 xlt

Hey guys, I'm new to the scanner world. I found a bc 560xlt scanner in my father in laws garage. I stole and got it programed but I was wanting to know if anyone could tell me what frequency ranges I can pick up with it? I was mainly wanting to pick up aircraft. Thanks.

Based on what I found from a Google search, that radio covers "29.0 mhz through 512 mhz". However there is not an explicit mention of Air Band or AM modulation capabilty which would be needed to listen to aircraft.

Unfortunately, the BC560 (and its twin, the RadioShack PRO-2025)
can't pick up much of the civilian aircraft band (108-137) or any part
of the military air-band 225-400MHz. The official band coverage is:

29-54MHz
136-174MHz
406-512MHz

I too concur. This was my first scanner 15 years ago!. ( I still have it) and DaveH's ranges are correct. Still a great performer in my shack!
