Can someone in Indy try 161.340 and see what happens. I have tried to find a birdie list for this scanner but no go. 2045 picks up CSX loud and proud BC sits and stares. Glad I only paid $65.

In spite of your "birdie", you still scored an excellent analog scanner good for mil-air, railroad & tons of other stuff!!
I've had my 780xlt for almost 12 years now and it still works great!
I live about 6.5 miles from the hump at Avon Yard. With my BC780XLT and a quarter-wave antenna on the back of the scanner, I can hear radio traffic on 161.340 MHz from the yard. No birdie. Might be something in your area causing interference that your 780 is picking up that your Pro-2045, for whatever reason, didn't hear.
It scans past like not a birdie...so I checked to make sure I was not in AM and played with the mode.
Bingo. Two FM stations at the same time when in WFM. Back on NFM and trying the attenuator HOORAY!!! Success!!
