Bc 996t and bc 996p2 conventional p 25 decode issues

Both my scanners listed above will not decode a conv. P25 frequency While searching.
Will work in conventional scanner mode.
Iike if I put the frequency in a bank and scan it.
Any ideas thoughts . Uniden Customer support was a huge bust.
It seems to me that it's should work both ways.

Sounds like you have CTCSS/DCS search turned on for the search options.

The tone option is off .

Try setting Tone/Code search to P25 NAC, then (although it should work when set to off, too).

MENU --> Srch/CloCall Opt --> Tone/Code Search
