I have a BC T8 at work that is on 24/7 for the last 3 years. It got stuck on a freq. with no sound the other day. Would not scan. I turned it off and back on and it was OK for about 5 min and then the same Thing??? locks up no squelch sound, just a slite buzz with the Volume all the way up.
Any ideas.....is it toast....

Hmmm,a scanner on 24/7 for 3 years would probably start to fail sooner or later.Was it brand new when you started to leave it on? It sounds like its either tired and needs a rest or it's slowey becoming toast,if it hasn't already

Well it has been working fine for the last 4 weeks???? still on 24 / 7.......I guess time will tell.
