Received a BC125AT for Christmas to monitor Cobb County and Marietta police frequencies. Manually programmed 155.685 and 155.79 - nothing. The unit receives Atlanta ATC and weather broadcasts. I think I have the unit set up correctly. Are Cobb County and Marietta police communications completely digital?

If you dont have an SDS100 or 200 you will have a hard time getting simulcast systems which is what CRRS is, the scanner has a hard time differentiating the different signals and it gets distorted

Yes. That scanner will not receive Cobb County (or most any metro Atlanta) public safety agencies at all.

FYI those are the old VHF conventional repeaters now used by MPD explorers during special events, rare use during parades, etc.

As others have mentioned, all MPD is TDMA on the Cobb RRS. The SDS series is a must, or Unication, or BlueTail P25 RX. Anything else is peeing into a fan.
