I recieved my new BC125AT a week ago and last night had my first chance at using it in the field. I have quite a few frequencies in this from all 97 Railroad Wide band, Railroad UHF, 50 marine chanels, 5o plus Coast Guard frequencies and some Mil air frequencies.

I noticed that while its scanning it will stop on random frequencies form all the banks I have programmed. I do not hear anything, not even a bit of squelch. It just stops for a second or two and then continues. I only have one chanel set as a priority and that is not one it stops on. Close call is off.

I'm not sure if this will be it but for my 396XT I have it set to a primary scan and it'll pause it's regular scanning to check the priority channels for activity. I think I have mine set at 4 seconds so no matter where it's at in the scanning every 4 seconds there's a 1 or 2 second pause while it checks the priority channels. I haven't seen the 125AT in use yet so I'm just throwing a guess. I'm not sure if they both work the same way with the priorities.

Kevin,

You might check to see what firmware you have. I had some odd behavior with mine while on some trips around town. If I recall correctly, most of that stopped after I did the first upgrade.

Hope that helps.
