BC125AT: BC125AT USB Port

I can no longer make connection on my usb port because the cable port doesn’t hold it. It’s very loose. You can see the metal piece surrounding the port is split. How do you fix it without replacing the circuit board? It runs through batteries really fast. Not being able to plug into my car is a pain. I can’t afford a new scanner.

If its a mini usb and your good with soldering, you can order connectors almost anywhere.

Most of them have a split in the metal and almost all of them have small metal tabs that can gently be bent back which would make them hold better.

Otherwise, Uniden has a flat rate repair that's close to 100 bucks. Here is a link to @buddrousa post with that info.
