BC200XLT-1987- anyone have a clue?

Hello:
Does anyone know if the 1987 version of the Bc200xlt had the 800MHz band unlocked. I had one around that time and it had no blocked frequencys. It was stolen in 1990 and I want the same radio. I do not care
about listening to the unblocked frequcies since it is illegal. I just want the same radio back for nostalgic reasons. I have a 1990 one but it is not the same for me.

I think all the BC200XLT models were either not blocked or were modifiable to restore full coverage via a jumper. But, I also think they went in 12.5 kHz steps which would make them 'less than ideal' for monitoring that band. (not that you are after that)

I understand about the nostalgia. I have nearly all the scanners I've ever owned with the exceptions I had to sell when I was younger in order to upgrade models. Sorta wish I had some of those back (ThinScan, BC100, the 4-channel bearcat portable for which I forget the model, Etc).

the bc200xlt did not have cellular out of the box. the only model that did was the bc800xlt.
to modify, one had to remove a surface mount resistor.
