Bc245xlt key pad lock help

I have a old BC245XLT.
The key pad has locked.
I tried holding down the delay key for over 2 seconds and it does not unlock the key pad.
I tried turning the scanner off and removing the battery for a few seconds then reconecting it but that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Would resetting the scanner do it?

same thing happened to me about 10 yrs ago approx i have erote in the ins book to press an hold e after turning on the radio i hope i wrote the code down correctly good luck my still kicks butt even after rebanding
