I would like to replace the antenna that came with my BC246T. Been looking at a few from Radio Shack and Grove. Want one to cover all bands any suggestions? :roll:

Its a long one at 15" but the Diamond RH77CA is hard to beat.

Where to buy?
Who distributes the Diamond RH-77CA for sale, can't seem to find using Froogle?
Been doing some research, looks like the Diamond or the Watson 881 seem to receive the best through all brands.
StrongSignals has had an excellent review of many antennas for years on their website.

using Google and Froogle, I found the same as jayfurd did on both.
Anyway...I've read that that antenna is a good one for scanners, I've been
thinking about getting one of these.

Just ordered, will post on results when I receive. Really can't beat it for $25.00 with shipping. I already have the stock, and RS 800 Mz antenna. Looking to see if I can get better reception on UHF and VHF. Close Call reception is also of interest to me.

I purchased my RH77CA from www.gigaparts.com several months ago. They had them in stock, the other places I tried were backordered. Their price is a few dollars more, but it arrived quickly and in good condition.
that's where i got mine a long time ago. shipping was super fast and the price was (and still is) hard to beat. the rh77ca has been excellent, and even though it's a bit long it's not so long as to be inconvenient. i recently picked up the radioshack 800mhz antenna to use for public safety trunks since i get a little better reception for more distant signals, but for everything else i use the rh77ca.jayfurd said:
