Hello All,

I am new to this site, these forums, and scanning in general. I used to have an old Uniden (forget the model) and it worked fine however i wanted to get into TrunkTracking so i purchased the bc246t. However, for the last year or so it was lost due to a move i underwent from alberta to ontario. Now i want to get back into scanning, mainly the ontario provincial police, however i have no idea how to program this thing. I was wondering if anyone here could give me some direction or advice.

Under Menu -> Program System -> New System
-Do i choose 'Conventional', 'LT', 'EDCS', 'MOT'
-After googling a bit im pretty sure i pick 'MOT' for motorola, however, then do i choose UHF,VHF,800MHz Standard, 800MHz Splinter, 900MHz

This scanner seems so much more confusing that my previous, however im sure its amazing once you figure it out...

Anyways, thank you all i look forward to hearing your responses.

You would choose Motorola Type 2 VHF and make sure the base, offset and step numbers are included as well.

Unfortunately programming Fleetnet into a 246T won't allow you to listen to the OPP as they are P25 digital and the 246T is an analog scanner.
