BC246t Direct tune?

I recently purchased a BC246T scanner. I am also a private pilot. I would like to use the radio as a backup receiver while flying. Is there any direct tune capability on this radio? I can't seem to find any way to simply type in a frequency and listen. Unless I go through complex programming menu and set up a new service...

Seems like there must be a simple strategy for direct tune... I just can't find it.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanx.

Press Hold, input the frequency, then press Hold again.
