On my old Pro95, I was able to get the UHF military airband. It wasn't listed in the official range of frequencies covered, but using the win95 software I was able to program the frequencies and listen to them.

I'm wondering if the same is possible on the 246T? I used the ARC246 to program in the UHF frequencies, but so far I haven't been able to pick anything up. Is there an actual physical limitation of the hardware?

I realize this may have been covered before but I wasn't able to pull up much in the archives.

Thanks!

hey this is my first post. Im looking at buying the 246T for my dad but he says that the frequency is too low and thats the higher it is the better. How much truth is there to that?
Is it that much of a big deal?
