Received my BC246T last week. I was so excited that I stumbled around for about 5 min just trying to find the button to turn it on. Once I relaxed and realized that I had to hold the bottom for several seconds to activate the Radio, I was OK. I had previously downloaded the software ARC246t and received the registration key. It was a piece of cake putting in the frequencies. I have enjoyed this unit more than my Radio 2600 or BC210. MY only problem was that the unit "locked up" on me. The radio was working fine until I walked through the motion sensitive doors at my doctors office. I call Uniden that night, they kept me on hold for about 25min. When I did get through, I was told that I needed to be transfered to the "Scanner Section". I was again put on hold. 10 min later, a voice recording tells me to leave a message and they will get back to me. Before I can leave a message, another recording states that the mailbox is full. I hang up.
I then boot my ARC246T software, delete all of my frequencies and reload them. In less than a minute, the radio is back to normal.
THANKS UNIDEN, FOR NOTHING.
