For those who have experience with the 246t protocol, is it possible to request individual display components through the protocol? From what I understand "STS<cr>" can be used to request all display information, but "STS L1_CHAR<cr>" (or somehting along these lines) is not valid. Is this true? I don't have a radio in hand to check this out on.

Thanks

That is correct. You'll have to parse the relevant portions out yourself after receiving the reply from STS.

It's actually much more efficient - you can get all the info with just one call to the scanner instead of many.

Thanks for the confirmation, this helps a lot. From a standard PC based application standpoint this does seem more efficient, however the quantity of data sent from the radio actually exceeds the memory limits of my device

Onto plan B!

Thanks again
