I was wondering if the alpha numeric display is group name on top and talk group name on bottom?

Also, I'm wondering if the sound quality of the 246 compares to the Pro-97.

The top alternates between the system and group names. The bottom displays the talkgroup/channel tag.

The PRO-97 has better audio in my opinion, but beware the 97 can't be upgraded with software after rebanding of Motorola systems.
