I have been nothing but frustrated since purchasing my BC246T. First it was the realization that programming was much different than I was used to. Then the purchase and wait for the USB cable from Uniden - it came today. Now it seems my computer and the USB connection don't want to connect to the scanner. Is there a radio out there that is a little newer that uses a USB connection out of the box? I've read a few articles about programming it without the software, but then when I start, it really seems like it would take a toll on the menu "switch". Anyone have any idea how to make this scanner work with the USB cable sold by Uniden?
