BC246T - Squelch

Hi,
I've just noticed something odd and I'm hoping I'm just missing a setting:

I have 2 Systems set up:
Jackie
Nick

Each have several conventional groups within. However, the squelch knob has no effect on any group under the "JACKIE" system. It remains quiet even when rotated all the way to the left. I am able to receive signals though.

I have some of the same groups under the "NICK" system and the squelch works normally there.

I have re-created the "Jackie" group many times and I have given it different names and assigned it different quick keys.
I have also played around with the "mode frequencies (FM NFM AUTO) with no luck. The "NICK" system has the default setting as imported from the Database.

Any thoughts or previous experiences with something like this?

The squelch knob won't open the receive audio if the channel in question is using CTCSS tones.

That was it..It was the CTSS frequency..I found it just after I posted but since im a new poster my post was not available to view..Thanks for the reply
