I have a question about the wall wart charger for the bc246t. I just bought the 246t and don't have any charger.

I know that the bc246t need a 6v 500maH charger
Can I use a universal 6v 1200maH wall wart to charge my bc246t???

Does the bc246t need a regulated power supply?

thanks

The original charger that came with mine is a regulated one. A 6V 1.2 amp unregulated will have a significantly higher no-load voltage and could get you in trouble. Something along the lines of .8 amps or less unregulated might keep you out of trouble. I would highly reccomend the switching type though. I seem to see a lot of posts about Unidens being touchy with power supplies. My 246 no longer works off the wall wart and I think it is was an issue with overload.
