I need some assistance in programming my BC246T. I have managed to program items one at a time manually. However, I can not seem to program from a web site or Excel. If any one can provide more detailed instructions for a novice, it would be much appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and get ARC246T for your programming. The Uniden software is next to junk.

I disagree I have used both with my 246t and the uniden in my opnion is far superior. I find it very easy to use and navaigate through the programming process.

After finding out just how programming with the Uniden Freeware Version, works, I've found it very easy to use.
Only real irritation with it so far is the opening screen: When the screen that says "Scanner Not Connected" comes up it crowds toward the lower righthand corner of the screen & I have to do some dragging & sizing to get it where I can use it.
Monitor is 800x600 32-bit, but wonder if the program's written for a higher resolution monitor & that's why it does what it does?

I agree. ARC246 is the best! IMHO.
