I am trying to manually Edit Name of a TG using the keypad but when I use the <4 & 6> keys to move the curser all it does is enter the numbers 4 or 6. What's going on here? My BC396XT doesn't do that. The scanner is running firmware version 2.60. Anyone else having this problem?

just delete each letter (Fuction Schroll knob)
The 246 is different than the later models. You must hold the Function key in while using the <4 and 6>. Please see page 17 here:
